My husband and I discovered the concept for 'Blossoms Please' when his granddaughter volunteered at a similar organization in Pennsylvania (and posted on FaceBook of course!).  

Did you know that 60% of nursing home patients have no visitors?   

Sadly, many in this population rarely leave the nursing home premises. Medical challenges, disability and the death of close friends and loved ones take a gradual toll on their mental and emotional health and well being. Limited social contact only exacerbates the problem. It’s no wonder that depression among the elderly is rampant. 

Together, we can bring smiles to Jax Beach seniors by bringing a small bouquet of flowers and staying for a short visit.
